# Customer Service Management : How to add Carer and Guardian to a Circle In Comm.care, Informal Users (such as Person, Carer, Guardian) can be added to Circles in order to access information such as Documents, Roadmaps, and appointments of that Circle. The Guardian can give access to the Circle to individual users such as family and friends. Before adding an Informal User, make sure that there is at least one **Care Recipient** with the option **Has Carer** on. See the detailed tutorial on [how to add Care Recipient here](How%20to%20add%20Person%20and%20Plan%20Manager%20to%20a%20Circle.md). - **Step 1:** Go to **Circles > Participant** - **Step 2:** In the Informal Care Group section, click **Add Informal User** - **Step 3:** Add Informal Users - Find user: by entering their email - Create user (if not existing): fill in basic information such as name, avatar, phone... - Edit role: select Person, Guardian or Carer. One informal user can have multiple roles. ![](help/Attachments/138018844.gif)![](help/Attachments/138018850.png) # Edit informal user's information or send reset password email There are chances you will want to change informal user's information such as avatar, email, phone, address...; or they forget the password and you need to send them a reset password link. To do that: - **Step 1:** Go to **Circle > Participant** - **Step 2:** Find the informal user you want to edit/remove. Click on the user's name or avatar (the first line). - **Step 3:** On the popup modal, click on **Edit**, or click on **Send reset password email** if the user forgets their password - **Step 4:** If you edited information, then remember to save changes ![](help/Attachments/138018856.gif) # Edit informal user's roles or remove a user from Circle If you wish to change the role of a user or remove an informal user from Circle: - **Step 1:** Go to **Circle > Participant** - **Step 2:** Find the informal user you want to edit/remove. Click on the user's role (the line below the User name) - **Step 3:** On the popup modal, click on **Edit** button. - **Step 4:** Change roles and **Save changes**, or click on **Delete** to remove the user from Circle. ![](help/Attachments/138018862.gif) # View and customise Informal Users access to Circle's information Each informal user role has its own default permission to access Circle's information. These roles are defined by Comm.care to help you quickly set up user access, which is deeply researched and suitable for most cases. However, there will be some complicated cases that need more than that. Comm.care allows you to fully customise access to Circle's information for each informal user. Here's how: - **Step 1:** Go to **Circle > Participant** - **Step 2:** Find the informal user you want to customise their access. Click on the button **View their Access to your information** - **Step 3:** Click **Edit.** Edit permission to access: Personal Plan, Document Notes, Case Instructions, Progress Notes, Appointments, Assessment, and Claims. - **Step 4:** Click **Save changes** ![](help/Attachments/138018868.gif)
